Patronage Payout

Based on the Credit Unions success in 2019 the Board of Directors have approved a Patronage Payout in cash for:

$230,000.00

Equals to approx. 9% Rebate on Loan Interest paid in 2019 and approx. 18% Dividend on Deposit Interest received
(Please note some products do not qualify for a Patronage Payment)

Fraud Awareness Month

Here are some Golden Rules to remember:

• There are no guarantee get rich quick schemes, sometimes the only people that make money are the scammers.
• Do not agree to offers or deals right away. If you think you have spotted a great opportunity, insist on time to find out more information.
• Do not hand over money or personal information, or sign anything until you have done some research and checked the credentials of the company that you are dealing with.
• Do not rely on glowing testimonials, find solid evidence of a company’s success.
• Log directly on the website that you are interested in rather than clicking on links provided in an email.
• Never send money, or give credit card or online account details to anyone you do not know and trust.
• If you spot a scam or have been scammed, get help.
• Check your statements when you receive them. If you suspect anything contact your institution immediately.
• If you have lost your card(s), contact your institution immediately so that your card(s) can be cancelled.

Message from the GM/CEO Vern Gevers

As winter comes to an end and the sun begins to shine a bit more throughout the day I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

I also want to thank all our Members for their continued support in 2019 and allowing us to have another very successful year at our Credit Union.  It is from your support that makes us the very sound and financially strong Credit Union we are today. 

As we look to 2020 there remain new challenges, but I have no doubt that we will remain strong and get through it together.  In 2020 we will see a new ATM for our Credit Union as well as switching our online banking to a new digital platform with a new webpage development.  These changes are not of our doing, but more so around technology changes that seem to be ever changing in today’s world.  So, at this time I wish to thank you for your patience during these transitions and we will keep you informed as much as we can.
