Everlink Flash Transactions
Transaction limits are set at $250 per transaction. There is also added protection of a cumulative contactless limit set by individual banks or credit unions. A cumulative limit is the maximum contactless spend limit that can be done by an individual Interac debit card before the user is prompted to reset the limit with a Chip and PIN transaction. This confirms that you are the authorized cardholder. The cumulative limit is $400.00.
Members should complete 3 consecutive contact POS transactions in order to ensure that the limits are updated on their debit card. If you have any problems please let the branch know. All Acquirers (or their merchants) are not permitted to set Flash transaction limits.
In February 2024, the above limits will be mandatory for everyone.
